Overheard at our house:

"How would you feel about investing in a real estate short fund?"
"I think it would cause my world to implode."
"Okay. That's not the response I was expecting."
"Well ever since we got the mortgage I've been convinced the housing market would crash. If we put money on the housing market crashing, I'd be convinced it would to go up. We can't be wrong both ways!"

    That is very "glass is half empty" thinking. You could also look at it as you would win either way!

    I think option traders call this a butterfly spread. Good luck and I hope you get the half full part of the glass.
