Technical difficulties
Sorry for the lack of posts. We've been having some technical difficulties over here. In the meantime I've been playing with Geni. It is a decent geneology site. It is easy to use but unfortunately you can't merge your family trees with other people very easily. If any of you are long lost relatives drop us an email or a comment and I'll invite you to my family tree.

Nothing to see here
I don't have anything too exciting to report. Our trip up to the San Francisco bay area was fun even if it was blazing hot. Ezra has now been on five round trip plane flights. Not bad for an 8 month old kid. Typically he sleeps the whole flight in Shanna's lap. Right now we can get away with holding him in our laps during the flight. When he's two years old we'll have to buy him his own seat. I suspect that will lead to more car trips.

Word of the week: Metaquote
When I get together with some of my old friends we tend to speak in movie quotes. However in many cases it has been so long since we've actually seen the movies that we're quoting that rather than quoting the movie itself we are quoting us quoting the movie. I don't know if he invented the term but my friend Jacob called this "Metaquoting".

Warning: No pictures or video
This is just a quick story. I apologize in advance for the lack of pictures. At the end of last week Shanna informed me that Ezra had his first incident report. Now when she told me this, my first thought was that he had been fighting. Then I realized both that this was crazy and that I had no idea what an incident report at a day care was. It turns out it means that Ezra did a face plant and they had to put ice on the bump he got on his head. He was sitting in the foam corral-like toy area and launched himself face first over the side. This somewhat surprised the staff since up to now he has not been the most mobile baby. In any case, he's fine.

Pajama Party
Ezra said goodbye to his friend Amarie who is moving (along with her parents) to Michigan. In the picture above we just told the kids that it is 20 degrees colder in Michigan than southern California. Amarie is about two weeks younger than Ezra. Shanna and Amarie's mother, Tracy, were coworkers and two of the three pregnant women in their lab at the time.
