Well, we made it to the Oregon Coast! Our 6 am flight was canceled and we were rescheduled with a stopover in San Francisco and didn't get into Portland until 3 in the afternoon. And lo and behold, it was snowing! That meant we had to go out the next morning to get tire chains for the rental car so we could drive over the pass to the coast. It was snowing pretty heavily on the pass but we didn't need to put on the chains fortunately.
The weather seemed nice when we arrived so we quickly got ready for a walk. There is no such thing as quickly with a child of course and while getting ready, Nana pointed out it was now pouring. So we put on the rain gear and by the time we actually got outside it was nice again. Ezra is enjoying facing out so much that we brought the Moby Wrap. Before we left for Portland, we decided it was due for a wash (our kid is drooly and tends to spit up quite a bit - the wrap was getting a little...umm...well smelling of eau de Ezra.) When we wrapped it up again we noticed it had shrunk a lot. The directions said that it would stretch out again when worn. We forgot about that yesterday on the walk and by the time we got back, Ezra had sunk down quite a bit. It didn't bother him and he was fast asleep by the end of the walk.
Unfortunately for us, Ezra decided to hit his 3 month growth spurt while we are on vacation and I've been up every two hours feeding him the last couple of nights. How drastic to go from 7-8 hours to every 2! It is like the first month all over again. At least we can recover during the day by doing nothing but lounging around. Ezra is asleep on Aaron's lap sitting by the fire as I type. It is pouring outside. If it stops, we'll go for a walk. If not, we'll keep lounging around. I'm happy!
