In the geeky equivalent of "putting the band back together," I'm set to participate in my first Dungeons & Dragons sessions in years. I'm really excited! We're trying to craft a format that will work with our busy schedules and growing families, and most importantly maintain high wife acceptance factors.
Right now the plan is to play the second Sunday of the month in the morning with a five hour hard time limit. To help things along there will also be a simultaneous playdate for the wives and children. I'm probably going to have to shell out for a spa day too.
Since it is likely that everyone won't be able to attend each session, we won't have a serial storyline but rather each session will be a stand-alone episode. Hopefully it will be like a tv show season where the characters are the same every week and maybe there is a common story arc but you don't need to see every episode to "get it." I hope we're able to keep this up, because I'm really looking forward to it.
UPDATE: This post is so geeky, I thought it would label itself... in Eldarin.
