Oy vey is right! Actually, I look at the picture below and think ah, the good ol' days when it was comparatively mild! Poor Ezra. I think he is handling it all ok. Fevers, sore throat, purple hands and feet, and the hives. All except for the blood tests of course and he doesn't like us shoving all the medications down his throat. Aaron has been absolutely wonderful taking care of Ezra while I try to get some work done. Unfortunately, it is very slow going.

Ezra's new thing is to wave. He waves at everything now - except for the camera - and it is so darn cute. And he is still waving constantly - so I know he is feeling ok.

It was nerve-wracking as parent when the doctor pulls in about 4 other doctors to either show his symptoms (suggesting it isn't very common) and to get other opinions. The other opinions would be great if there were all the same. However, we collected about 3 opinions during the whole ordeal. The majority seemed to think the hives are due to the antibiotic. I hope that's the case because then we know what caused it - though I guess we'll never know really because I'm not going to give him penicillin ever again!

Ezra did get a shot of Benadryl last night and boy did that conk him out. As many of you know, Ezra doesn't have the greatest sleep habits and as we were getting ready to leave the doctor's office, I put him in his stroller awake, and then grabbed his diaper bag and in those two seconds, he was passed out. I've never seen him do that before.

Keep checking in on us. We'll keep everyone up to date. Right now he is on a new antibiotic (did we mention the ears won't clear up?), an anti-histimine, and lots of parental love.
