Don't you want to spend two uninterrupted weeks with this kid?

I need some help from the travel mavens out there. So I'm going to need some comments on this one.

I really want to go to my friend's wedding in Israel this fall. This is my first stab at an itinerary for a two week trip with a one-year old. Generally speaking we will probably be basing ourselves in Caesaria for the first part of the trip and taking day trips from there. We'll have family to visit in Jerusalem as well.

Day 1: Leave Los Angeles
Day 2: Arrive at Tel Aviv
Day 3: Caesaria *
Day 4: Chuppa (the wedding ceremony)*
Day 5: Day trip to Sefat
Day 6: All day wedding party *
Day 7: Day trip to Haifa
Day 8: Caesaria *
Day 9: Day trip to Acco
Day 10: Rosh Hashanna in Caesaria *
Day 11: Jerusalem
Day 12: Jerusalem
Day 13: Jerusalem
Day 14: Day in Tel Aviv and fly out
Day 15: Arrive in Los Angeles

* These are designated "down days" for Ezra recovery where we'll take it easy or do things locally.

Any thoughts?

    Aaron,
That itinerary looks good to me! Erza being one is probably a good age too because he will be mobile, but not TOO mobile.
I have heard that you just have to keep in mind that you are not going to be able to do as much as you would without a kid, but as long as you go in with those expectations it will be fine.
    It will be great!

There was also a little segment on NPR this weekend about international travel with kids - very fortuitous!

Sounds like an awesome trip! Might as well try it while you are all young enough to enjoy, and crazy enough to flex your plans if Ezra has other things in mind. Wow! We never traveled with kids that young by plane, but we did take a road trip! Love, Aunt Sherrie & Uncle Les
