Ezra thinks this bites

Case 1: Shanna and I were in Oregon for the start of Passover and came home on the third day of the eight day holiday. We didn't get a chance to do any shopping before we left so on the evening we came back I ran to one of our neighborhood grocery store to scrounge for some kosher for Passover food. It didn't go well. I came home with some fruit, cheese, yogurt, and a mix for sweet potato pancakes. All the matzot they had was not kosher for Passover. Somewhat ironically, I've been measuring the gentrification of our neighborhood by the amount of kosher food in the local grocery stores. A couple of years ago they stocked kosher chicken for maybe a month. Now, not so much.

Case 2: There has been a big training push at my work. Subsequently, I've had two lunch meetings this week. The normal fare at lunch meetings at my work is not very Aaron-level kashrut friendly. During Passover, however, it is just pitiful. On Thursday's meeting I had three pickles and a diet Coke. Friday, was a little better, I had small blue cheese salad (wouldn't be my first choice for work) and a bottle of water.

Lesson learned: Buy your Passover food in advance.
