We had an unfortunate trip to the doctor's this evening. Only took 3 hours, yeah! Ezra had a persistent fever and they recommended we bring him in. He was a trooper. He was his usual self until we took him to have a chest x-ray (really a torso x-ray on babies). None of us were emotionally ready for this. In order to immobilize the baby they put them in something that is remoniscent of a roteserie chicken stand. We called it the baby squasher. As you might expect Ezra was not amused.

All-in-all we got some medicine* for Ezra and Shanna is going to stay home with him tomorrow. Feel free to drop him well wishes in the comments. Shanna will love reading them to him!

*Mommy note - The x-ray came back completely clear - the doctor heard some wheezing and wanted to make sure it wasn't pneumonia. It wasn't.

Hi Ezra! I hope you are feeling better today! It would be really nice if you slept through the night for mommy and daddy. I hope you never have to be squashed again! Love, Nana
