We put Ezra in the back mode of the Ergo carrier for the first time. It made me feel like a Tauntaun.

We had a pretty exciting day today, although I unfortunately didn't get any pictures. Shanna had some business to attend to so I took care of Ezra without her for about five hours (about time). Ezra and I met our old friends Amy and Brian and their family at the Descanso Gardens. The botanical garden happens to be where I proposed to Shanna a little over seven years ago. Today was the garden's annual Easter egg hunt so among the million or so people there, Ezra and I were probably the only Jews. It was great to see Amy and Brian again, their oldest boy is four years old and I get a kick out of seeing what Ezra may be like in a few years.

Later this evening we went to our friend's home for a party. At one point during the evening, I thought to myself, "Where did all these children come from?" It seems like just yesterday we everyone I knew were snooty geeks where inevitably someone would talk about either science or some sort of grad school drama. Now it seems like we all have snotty kids and a party isn't complete unless there is at least one conversation about baby poop. In any case, we had a good time, and it made me want to throw a party sometime soon. The price to use the common room in our complex is pretty reasonable and a nice play yard nearby. I think we're going to have to make use of those this summer.

Did Ezra do well on your back? It is not Lila's most favorite position...

He seemed to like it well enough, we've only tried it once.
