I remember an old Charlie Brown book where Charlie Brown had to write an essay on what he did last summer in so many words. I find myself in a similar situation. I'm working on numerous applications for some teaching jobs and they all require essays - and different ones at that. I find the exercise very reminiscent of college applications and seem a little too grown up to discuss a challenge I had to overcome in 300 words or less. I'm stuck on one essay on my experience and skill set. I needed 90 more words when I wrote "I learned to communicate my ideas concisely." Only 83 more to go.

    "That's not a butterfly, that's a potato chip!"

"I wonder how a potato chip got here all the way from Brazil?"

    "Good Grief!"
