We started Ezra on baby food this past weekend. As you can see, he found the whole concept pretty alarming. Originally we were going to wait until he was a little older to start him on solid foods but considering his issues with , shall we say, assisted feeding, we decided to move up the schedule a bit. He's been interested in watching us eat for weeks and once the initial shock wore off he's taken to it pretty well. And by pretty well, I mean better than he's taken to bottle feeding.
I should also note that we plopped him in a high chair at a coffee shop we went to this weekend. We had been holding off until he could sit up unassisted. He absolutely loved it! Alas, we forgot the camera at home.
*Interesting little factoid we learned this past Shabbos: human breast milk is considered parve. Go ahead and eat that rice cereal whenever you want, Ezra.
