I'm back in the blogging world! Ezra is 12 days old and I'm beginning to feel a bit more humanish now. I've gotten a bit into the swing of things. We've lucked out with a baby that sleeps a lot and is very easy going. After 4 or 5 days of the extreme stressfulness of learning breastfeeding, things are going pretty well now. The bris weekend of course was hectic but all the family did a really nice job in making sure I wasn't really exposed to the commotion.

After the rest of the family left, Nana stayed behind to help around the house and bond with Baby Ezra. She's made cookies yesterday which were pretty much decimated by Aaron and me. She also made a great dinner last night and a brisket for tonight. So we are keeping well fed. We'll miss having her around after she leaves, that's for sure! (although, I will disagree with my father-in-law that there is such a thing as too many cookies - I now have to work backwards on the scale not forwards. So although I loved the cookies, I won't be missing the temptation).

Nana and Ezra bonding

Aaron goes back to work on Monday and I'm very nervous about being at home alone. Aaron has been excellent during these first 10 days or so. He has totally taken over diaper duty and making sure all my needs are met. And of course he loves being with his son. So I think both of us are not looking forward to the end of the week.

Finally, our good friends over at Molly and Friends have posted a comparison picture of newborn Ezra and newborn Lila who was around 6 lbs at birth. Ezra was almost 10 lbs. This post made me absolutely speechless.

I'll make sure to Skype you next week during the day. Can't wait to see Ezra in action again.

Nana must mean something other than grandma 'cause that cannot be a grandma holding Ezra.
