Its been safety week here at casa de problema de dos cuerpos. Shanna and I signed up for a CPR class, we had our carseat installation skills challenged by the California Highway Patrol, and while watching the x-games we had a nice discussion about whether we would allow junior to jump 30 feet in the air on a tricycle. I'm glad we're taking the CPR class, we won't be certified or anything but I'm glad Shanna's going to know what to do if I accidentally electrocute myself one too many times. Originally we were just going to take infant CPR but it turns out that with the class through our health insurance its cheaper to learn how to help adults too.

As far as having the carseat inspection is concerned, I'm glad we did that too. I installed it more or less correctly in Shanna's car. We just had to make sure that it was tight enough (doesn't move more than an inch) and installed at the correct angle. The covered wagon that I drive doesn't have the latch system and I totally missed the mark on installing the seat. In any event, the CHP inspection is free but you need to make a reservation (and they can fill up fast).

Now extreme Big-Wheels, now that's a sport!
